Arthur: Clara, please sit down. I want to talk to you about something important.
Clara took a seat on the leather sofa across from Arthur, feeling a bit hesitant as her employer looked at her with tears of deep gratitude in his eyes.
Clara: Yes, Mr. Vance? Is there something else you need me to clean or clean up?
Arthur: Clara, you are done cleaning this house as a maid. You are never going to wipe another floor in this mansion again.
Clara: What do you mean, sir? Am I being let go?
Arthur: No! Absolutely not! What I mean is that you are no longer an employee here. You are family.
Arthur set down a official legal document on the coffee table in front of her. It was a trust fund management agreement and a high-salaried position contract.
Arthur: I am appointing you as the official head guardian and trustee of Lily's personal estate fund, with a guaranteed annual salary of one hundred and fifty thousand dollars, full health insurance, and permanent residency in this house for as long as you wish.
Clara: Mr. Vance... I... I don't know what to say. This is too much! I was just doing what any human being would do!
Arthur: Most people would have frozen in fear. You ran faster than anyone I have ever seen and caught my baby girl with your bare hands. You gave her a second chance at life.
Clara: I promise you, I will take care of Lily with everything I have for the rest of my life.
Arthur: I know you will, Clara. My late wife loved you like a sister, and now I see why she trusted you so deeply with our family.
Baby Lily reached out her tiny hands toward Clara, giggling happily as Clara took her into her lap and held her close.
Clara: Look at you, little one. No one will ever hurt you again.
Arthur: No one ever will. This house is a home of peace and love now.
The sun shone brightly through the foyer windows, illuminating a home that was finally free from deceit and greed. Elena spent the rest of her life behind iron bars, paying for her wicked crime, while Clara, Arthur, and baby Lily built a bright future grounded in true love, loyalty, and justice.
