Patricia: Richard, listen to me! I was stressed! The pressure of managing this estate, the prenuptial agreement, the constant feeling that I was second best to your late wife!
Richard: DON'T YOU DARE LIE TO ME!
In a sudden burst of extreme fury, Richard marched rapidly up to Patricia right beneath the framed American flag. His face was contorted in pure anger. He swung his hand and slapped her forcefully across the face with a loud, sharp impact.
Patricia recoiled in shock, clutching her red, burning cheek. She stumbled back against the white pillar, staring at him wide-eyed, her lips trembling with absolute terror.
Patricia: You... you hit me...!
Richard: You tried to murder a two-year-old child for money! You tried to frame an innocent woman who risked her life to save my baby!
Patricia: I made a mistake, Richard! We can fix this! We can go to counseling! Think about our reputation in Dallas! Think about the family name!
Richard: Your reputation is finished. Your life as my wife is finished.
Richard aggressively pointed his finger toward the grand open mahogany doors, commanding her with a voice that echoed throughout the entire mansion.
Richard: GET OUT OF MY HOUSE RIGHT NOW! PACK YOUR THINGS AND GET OUT BEFORE THE POLICE ARRIVE!
Patricia: Richard, please! Don't call the police! I'll sign the divorce papers! I'll walk away with nothing! Just don't destroy my life!
Richard: Maria, call 911 immediately. Tell them we have a video recording of an attempted murder at the estate.
Maria: Yes, Mr. Davis. Right away.
Maria quickly set the toddler down safely on the sofa and pulled out her phone, dialing the emergency number without hesitation. Patricia dropped to her knees, sobbing uncontrollably on the white marble floor, the very same spot where she had intended to end a child's life.
Patricia: Please, Maria... don't do this... I'll pay you whatever you want! I have cash in my safe upstairs! Just don't make that call!
Maria: No amount of money in the world could make me cover up what you did to this innocent baby, Mrs. Davis.
Sirens began to wail in the distance, growing louder as police cruisers sped toward the gated Dallas estate. Richard knelt down next to Maria and his daughter, taking Lily gently into his arms. Tears streamed down his eyes as he held his child tight, overwhelmed with gratitude for the brave maid who had saved everything that mattered to him.
