The Hidden Nanny Cam

The Stepmother's Secret On The Marble Stairs

Mark: Step away from the stairs, Elena.

Elena: Mark, listen to me, we can talk about this in private. Send the maid away!

Mark: I said step away!

Mark walked over to Clara, holding out his hand to help her up from the floor. Clara took his hand, wiping a tear from her bruised cheek as she stood up.

Mark: Clara... I am so sorry. I shouldn't have struck you. I lost my head when I saw the stroller rolling.

Clara: I understand your fear for Lily, Mr. Miller. But I would never let anything happen to her.

Mark: I know that now. Take Lily into the kitchen, please. Get her some juice.

Elena: Don't you dare take my child away!

Mark: She is NOT your biological child, Elena! And after what just happened, you won't be laying a finger on her ever again.

Elena rushed down the stairs, her single high heel clicking loudly until she stepped onto the marble floor barefoot with her other foot.

Elena: Mark, you are making a massive mistake! That maid is framing me! She wants to steal my place in this house!

Mark: Clara earns an honest living here. What are you earning, Elena? You married me six months ago after my first wife passed. I gave you everything—the black card, the luxury cars, access to the estate.

Elena: Because I am your wife! I deserve those things!

Mark: And what about the prenup you signed? The one that says if we divorce within two years, you leave with nothing unless an tragic accident occurs to the heir?

Elena: What... what are you talking about? I never read the fine print of the trust fund!

Mark: But your divorce lawyer did, didn't he? I got an email from my legal team this morning saying someone called asking about the clause regarding Lily's guardianship if I were incapacitated.

Elena: That wasn't me! Someone must have stolen my identity!

Mark: Stop lying! Just stop!

Mark pulled out his phone, opening the mobile app linked to the clock camera. His fingers moved quickly across the screen as Elena watched him, her breathing growing fast and shallow.

Mark: Let's see what the video shows from five minutes ago.

Elena: Mark, don't look at that! The footage might be corrupted!

Mark: It's loading right now, Elena. Cloud storage works perfectly.

The screen lit up with a clear, high-definition video feed. Mark stared at the phone display, his face growing paler by the second, his eyes reflecting the harsh light of the screen.
