It was supposed to be a quiet afternoon at the private clinic.
Sarah had arrived for a routine appointment and was waiting in the examination room when she noticed a woman standing near the medical table.
Sarah: “Is everything ready for my appointment?”
Victoria: “Everything is fine. Just relax.”
Sarah looked around the room.
Something about Victoria's behavior made her uncomfortable.
Before Sarah could ask another question, a glass container slipped from the nearby counter.
It shattered across the floor.
Sarah stepped backward and suddenly lost her balance.
Sarah: “Wait… I don't feel right.”
She collapsed onto the floor.
Victoria froze.
Then the clinic door opened.
Daniel rushed inside.
Daniel: “Sarah!”
He immediately looked around the room.
Broken glass covered part of the floor, while Sarah was lying nearby.
Daniel: “What happened here?”
Victoria took a step backward.
Victoria: “It wasn't what you think.”
Daniel stared at her.
Daniel: “Then tell me what happened.”
