Officer Reed: Selena Vance? You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.
Selena: Get your filthy hands off me! Do you know how much this dress costs?!
Officer Reed: Save it for the judge, ma'am. Place your hands behind your back.
Selena: Mark! Tell them to stop! You can't let them do this to me on our wedding day!
Mark: I'm not stopping anything. In fact, I'm going to make sure the press gets a front-row seat to your arraignment.
Evelyn: The police van is waiting outside, dear. Don't keep them waiting in that beautiful sun.
Selena: You old witch! This is all your fault! You always hated me from the day Mark introduced us!
Evelyn: I hated the scent of desperation and greed you brought into my son's house. I knew what you were from the start.
Lily: Daddy? Is the mean lady leaving now?
Lily stepped out from around the corner, holding her father's hand tightly. She looked at Selena, who was now bound in metal handcuffs over her expensive designer veil, struggling against two tall officers.
Mark: Yes, baby. She's leaving, and she is never, ever coming back.
Selena: You think you won, don't you?! You think you can raise that girl without the estate assets once the board finds out?!
Mark: I already transferred my personal share of the company into a private trust under Lily's name yesterday morning. The board can't touch a single dime.
Selena: What?! You... you put the entire holding company in her name?!
Mark: Every single share. She owns the estate, she owns the house, and she owns the land you're standing on right now.
Selena: No... no, that's impossible! You couldn't have!
Mark: I did. Which means you were attempting to steal from a six-year-old child. Enjoy your time in federal custody, Selena.
The officers turned Selena around, leading her down the grand marble staircase as she screamed curses and threats into the vast, empty foyer. Her heels clicked frantically against the stone until the heavy wooden front doors slammed shut behind her, cutting off her voice completely.
