Richard: Officers, I need an emergency dispatch to the Sterling estate immediately. My wife just attempted to drown my two-year-old daughter.
Victoria: Richard, stop! Are you insane?! Think about the family reputation! Think about the firm!
Richard: The police are on their way. Don't you dare move an inch from that chair.
Victoria: You can't prove anything! It’s her word against mine!
Clara: It isn't just my word, Mrs. Sterling.
Clara stood up slowly, pointing toward the high arch of the patio ceiling right above the pool area.
Clara: Mr. Sterling had security cameras installed last month near the outdoor bar. It covers the entire pool deck.
Victoria’s face went dead pale, all the color draining instantly as she glanced up at the small black dome lens mounted above them.
Victoria: No... that camera was supposed to be disconnected during the renovation...
Richard: I reconnected it two weeks ago, Victoria. Everything you just did is saved on a secure cloud server.
Victoria: Richard, please... I didn't mean to hurt her! I was stressed! The pressure of being a mother...
Richard: You aren't her mother! You never were!
Clara: Mr. Sterling, there is something else you need to know. Something I overheard her saying on the phone this morning.
Richard: What are you talking about, Clara? What did she say?
Clara: She was talking to her divorce lawyer. She was asking about the trust fund your late wife set up for Lily.
Richard: What?! Lily’s inheritance trust?
Clara: She asked if the entire trust fund would revert to you—and then to her as your legal spouse—if Lily passed away before turning eighteen.
Richard: You twisted, evil woman... You were targeting my daughter's life insurance and inheritance trust!
Victoria scrambled off the chair, trying to back away toward the side gate, but Richard stood in her path, blocking her escape.
