Arthur Vance stood up slowly from his seat at the head of the long mahogany boardroom table.
He adjusted his jacket and looked at Mark with total disgust and disappointment.
Arthur: Mark Miller, effective immediately, you are suspended from this partnership pending a full internal forensic audit.
Mark: Arthur, please! You can't do this to me after ten years at this firm!
Arthur: You brought this on yourself by committing ethical violations and potential embezzlement under our roof.
Arthur turned his stern gaze toward Brenda, who was weeping uncontrollably in the corner.
Arthur: Brenda, turn in your security badge and pack your personal belongings. You are terminated effective right now.
Brenda: Mark, do something! You told me you would take care of me!
Mark: Shut up, Brenda! Just shut up!
Mark turned back to Sarah, his eyes wide with a mix of desperation, rage, and overwhelming panic.
Mark: You destroyed my entire career! Are you happy now?
Sarah: You destroyed your own career the moment you decided to cheat, lie, and steal from your family.
Karen stepped forward, handing a formal set of court documents directly to Mark's trembling hands.
Karen: You are officially served with divorce papers, a restraining order, and a petition for full asset restoration.
Mark: I won't sign anything! I'll fight you in court for every single penny!
Karen: Feel free to try, Mark. But with these evidence files, the judge will grant a full summary judgment in Sarah's favor.
Two corporate security officers stepped into the boardroom, standing firmly on either side of Mark.
Security Officer: Mr. Miller, you need to hand over your office keys and clear out your personal desk under supervision.
Mark looked around the room, finding no support or sympathy from any of his former colleagues.
He swallowed hard, his head dropping in complete defeat as security escorted him out of the executive boardroom.
Brenda rushed out right behind them, hiding her face as staff members watched from their cubicles.
Arthur Vance walked over to Sarah, extending his hand with genuine respect and regret.
Arthur: Mrs. Miller, I am deeply sorry for what my partner attempted to do to you. Our legal team will cooperate fully with your lawyer.
Sarah: Thank you, Mr. Vance. I appreciate your integrity in handling this matter today.
Sarah shook his hand firmly, feeling a profound sense of closure wash over her spirit.
She turned and walked out of the corporate office alongside her sister, stepping out into the bright morning sunlight.
