The Arrogant Mother In Law Demanded A Signed Prenup Before Recognizing My Marriage

Julian: Mr. Sterling, please! We can fix this! Clara and I love each other!

Richard: You allowed your mother to abuse my daughter and demand her parental rights away for money you don't even possess.

Julian: I was confused! I didn't know about the lease or the property ownership!

Clara: You showed your true character tonight, Julian. That's worth more than any prenup could ever prove.

The police officer placed the metal handcuffs around Victoria's wrists, leading the crying woman toward the foyer.

Victoria: Julian, do something! Call our lawyers! Call the firm!

Richard: Don't bother calling your firm, Victoria. Sterling Properties is serving an official eviction notice for breach of lease terms tomorrow morning at eight o'clock sharp.

Victoria: You can't throw me out onto the street!

Richard: Watch me. You have thirty days to clear your belongings out of my house.

Clara unclasped the three-carat diamond engagement ring from her left finger and dropped it straight into Julian's champagne glass with a soft splash.

Clara: Keep the ring, Julian. You're going to need it to pay your mother's bail and your new rent.

Julian: Clara, please! Don't walk away from me like this!

Clara: I'm not walking away from a future, Julian. I'm walking away from a mistake.

Clara turned her back on the silent room, resting her hand comfortably on her father's arm as they walked out into the cool evening air.

Richard: Are you okay, sweetheart?

Clara: I'm better than okay, Dad. I'm finally free.
