The Boy Who Stopped His Grandfather's Dallas Wedding

Evelyn: Arthur! Have you lost your mind?! You hit me on our wedding day!

Evelyn clutched her red cheek, lying on the white marble floor in disbelief as the crowd gasped in horror.

Arthur: YOU MURDERED MY ONLY SON! THIS WEDDING IS OFF! YOU ARE ROTTING IN FEDERAL PRISON!

Evelyn: That's absurd! Thomas died in a tragic accident! You know his brakes failed on the highway!

Arthur: Did they? Because I'm watching a video right now from the parking garage of Thomas's office, recorded three nights before his crash!

Evelyn: That... that could be anything! Someone edited that! It's a fake!

Arthur: You're on video wearing a dark hoodie, bending under his SUV with a pair of cable cutters, Evelyn! And then walking straight to your car and driving away!

Leo: She killed Daddy so she could get your money, Grandpa! Mom found the hidden camera footage on Daddy's old hard drive yesterday!

Evelyn: Shut up, you little brat! You don't know what you're talking about!

Arthur: Don't you dare scream at my grandson! Security, close the doors! Nobody leaves this foyer!

Arthur's private security team immediately stepped in front of the grand exit doors, blocking the exits. The atmosphere in the room flipped from a multi-million-dollar celebration to a high-stakes crime scene in a heartbeat.

Evelyn: Arthur, please, listen to me! I love you! I've been by your side through all your grief!

Arthur: You manipulated your way into my house two weeks after Thomas died! You comforted me while your hands were still covered in my son's blood!

Evelyn: It was an accident! I never meant for him to lose control on the mountain road!

Arthur: So you admit you cut the lines?!

Evelyn: No! I mean—I didn't say that!

Leo: There's more on the drive, Grandpa! Read the bank papers! Mom said to tell you about the insurance policy!

Arthur swiped his finger across the tablet screen, scrolling through folder after folder that Thomas's widow had meticulously organized before sending her son inside. His eyes narrowed as he saw official documents bearing his own forged signature.

Arthur: A five-million-dollar life insurance policy taken out on Thomas three months before he died, payable to a shell company in the Cayman Islands... controlled by you.

Evelyn: That's a setup! Your daughter-in-law hates me because she knew I was replacing her in the family estate!

Arthur: My daughter-in-law just saved my life and avenged my son! You didn't just want Thomas dead, did you? You wanted his entire inheritance clear so you could marry me and take the rest of the estate!

Evelyn: You're insane! I don't need your money! I came into this relationship with my own wealth!

Arthur: Wealth? What wealth? You claimed you owned a boutique finance firm in New York. I had my lawyers look into it, but I was too blinded by grief to notice the red flags. You were broke, Evelyn!

Evelyn: Arthur, look at me! Look into my eyes! Would the woman who held you while you cried every night for eight months hurt you like this?

Arthur: You held me so I wouldn't ask questions! You held me so I'd sign the new prenuptial agreement giving you thirty percent of the Vance trust fund upon marriage!

Leo: Grandpa, police sirens! I hear them outside!

Arthur: Good. Because you aren't leaving this house in a wedding dress, Evelyn. You're leaving in handcuffs.
