Victoria: Get your hands off me! Richard, do something! Tell them to stop!
Richard: I’m calling my divorce lawyer right now, Victoria. I’m done with you.
Victoria: You can't divorce me! The prenup gives me half of the estate!
Richard: The prenuptial agreement has a moral clause regarding child endangerment and criminal acts. You get nothing.
Victoria: No! No! This isn't fair!
Officer Davis clicked the steel handcuffs around Victoria's wrists behind her back.
Officer Davis: Victoria Vance, you are under arrest for child endangerment, filing a false police report, and criminal framing.
Victoria: Elena, you ruined my life! You dirty little servant!
Elena: I saved your child’s life while you were thinking about money, Mrs. Vance.
Officer Miller led the screaming woman out through the front doors toward the waiting police cruiser.
The front door slammed shut, leaving a heavy silence in the grand foyer.
Richard turned to face Elena, his hands shaking as he looked at her wet uniform and bruised cheek.
Richard: Elena... I don't even know what to say to you. I am deeply, deeply ashamed.
Elena: You struck me in front of your child, Mr. Vance.
Richard: I know. It was unforgivable. I let my temper take over based on a lie.
Elena: I expect my final paycheck and my contract cancellation papers today.
Richard: I will pay you ten times what your contract is worth, Elena. Please, let me make this right.
Elena: Money doesn't fix a slap to the face, Mr. Vance.
Richard: I know it doesn't. But I want to set up a trust fund for your family, and I will pay for all your medical bills and legal fees.
Elena: I am pressing charges against you for assault, Mr. Vance. My lawyer will be in touch tomorrow morning.
Richard: I understand. I deserve whatever legal consequences come my way.
