David sprinted across the polished white marble foyer and slammed the front door shut before Victoria could leave.
David: You are not going anywhere after what you did to my family!
Victoria: Let me go, David! If you call the police, the stock value of your company will ruin!
David: I do not care about money or stocks anymore! You belong in a federal prison cell!
David reached into his coat pocket and dialed the emergency three digit police emergency number immediately.
David: Emergency service! I need armed officers and an ambulance at my estate address right now!
Victoria dropped to her knees on the cold floor, sobbing hysterically as her grand plan completely collapsed.
Victoria: I only wanted the life I deserved! You had millions in inheritance money that should have been mine!
David: You forged her death certificate and faked her legal will to gain control of the estate trust!
Sarah sat on the marble floor nearby, holding young Lily tightly against her chest with tears of joy.
Sarah: She locked me down there the night before our vacation trip, David!
David: I looked everywhere for you, Sarah! I searched the entire country for three painful years!
Sarah: She told me every day through the iron door that you had moved on and forgotten me!
David: I never stopped loving you for a single second! She lied to both of us!
The loud sounds of police sirens echoed down the long private driveway outside the massive mansion windows.
Bright red and blue emergency lights flashed through the high glass windows of the grand entrance room.
Three uniformed police officers pushed through the unlocked front doors, guns drawn and ready for action.
Police Officer: Nobody move! Put your hands in the air where we can see them clear!
David: Officer, thank God you are here! That woman kept my wife hostage under the floorboards!
The lead officer looked at the open hatch in the floor and then looked down at pale Sarah.
Police Officer: Ma'am, do you need immediate medical attention right now?
Sarah: I just need my family... please get this evil woman away from my daughter!
The second officer stepped forward and pulled Victoria's hands behind her back, snapping heavy metal handcuffs on.
Victoria: Get your hands off me! I am the legal lady of this estate house!
Police Officer: You have the right to remain silent! Anything you say will be used against you in court!
The officers led the crying and screaming woman out through the main doors into the bright Texas daylight.
David walked back over to Sarah and Lily, kneeling down beside them on the smooth white floor.
He wrapped his arms around both of them, feeling the warmth of his real family together at last.
David: The nightmare is finally over, Sarah! You are safe now, and nobody will ever hurt us again!
Sarah: Our little girl saved my life today, David!
David kissed his wife's forehead as the medical paramedics rushed in through the open front entrance doors.
The long dark secret under the floor was finally exposed, and justice was finally taking its place in light.
