The wedding mansion was filled with music, flowers, and smiling guests. Everything looked perfect until a little girl suddenly pointed toward a framed photograph on the wall.
She stared at the picture with tears in her eyes.
Little Girl: I know this girl.
The room became quiet.
The photograph showed a young girl named Helena. Nobody seemed to understand why the child was so certain.
The bride, Amelia, immediately looked nervous.
Amelia: That's impossible. You don't know her.
The little girl shook her head.
Little Girl: Yes, I do.
The groom, Daniel, walked toward them.
Daniel: Amelia, what is she talking about?
Amelia avoided his eyes.
Amelia: She's confused. This is supposed to be our wedding day.
The maid, Sarah, suddenly stepped forward.
Her face was pale, and tears were already forming in her eyes.
Sarah: No. She isn't confused.
Everyone turned toward Sarah.
Sarah: I know that girl too.
Daniel stared at her.
Daniel: How?
Sarah pointed toward the photograph.
Sarah: Because Helena lived with me in the orphanage.
A shocked murmur moved through the room.
Amelia suddenly raised her voice.
Amelia: Stop talking about this!
Daniel looked at his bride.
Daniel: Why are you afraid of this little girl?
Amelia said nothing.
Daniel's expression changed.
Daniel: Tell me the truth.
