Tiffany: Hand me my coat. I’m leaving.
Marcus: Tiffany, wait! Your family’s merger with my company is supposed to happen today! If you walk out that door, my board will liquidate my remaining shares!
Tiffany: Then I suggest you start liquidating, Marcus. Because my family’s law firm will be filing a breach of contract lawsuit against you by five o'clock today.
Tiffany threw her bridal bouquet at Marcus’s feet and walked down the aisle, her bridesmaids trailing quickly behind her. The cathedral erupted into loud hushed arguments and clicking camera shutters from the press reporters who had snuck in.
Marcus: Look what you’ve done! You’ve ruined my life! You ruined everything I worked for!
Helena: You ruined your own life the day you decided that money was worth more than your own brother’s blood.
Marcus: Julian was weak! He didn't have the stomach to run a multi-billion dollar corporation! He was going to give half our profits away to charitable foundations!
Helena: He had a heart, Marcus. Something you traded away a long time ago.
Arthur Vance: Marcus, I must advise you to stop speaking immediately. The District Attorney’s office has been notified of the evidence regarding the altered life insurance documents and tax fraud schemes.
Marcus: The District Attorney? You called the police on me at my own wedding?!
Arthur Vance: Two detectives are waiting outside the cathedral entrance right now, Marcus. They have a warrant for your arrest regarding financial fraud, grand larceny, and corporate embezzlement.
Marcus: No... no, this can't be happening to me. I am a Montgomery!
Helena: You are a thief who got caught, Marcus. Nothing more, nothing less.
Marcus turned frantically toward his best man, looking for support, but his closest friend simply shook his head, stepped backward, and walked toward the side exit without saying a word.
Marcus: You’re all turning on me?! After everything I gave you?!
Leo: Mommy, is the bad man going away now?
Helena: Yes, baby. He’s going away for a very long time.
Heavy footsteps echoed down the grand corridor as two plainclothes police officers entered the main hall, pulling pair of steel handcuffs from their belts as they approached the altar.
