Two police cruisers pulled up to the estate with their lights flashing silently, blocking the wide circular driveway. Ethan held Victoria firmly by the wrist until the officers stepped through the high double doors.
Officer Miller: "Mr. Vance, we got your emergency call regarding child endangerment and attempted murder."
Victoria: "Officers, thank goodness! Arrest this man and that maid! They are conspiring against me!"
Ethan: "Officer, take her into custody immediately. I have full video evidence, audio recordings, and legal documentation detailing her attempt on my son’s life."
Victoria: "Ethan, stop this nonsense! You’re making a huge mistake! I’m the lady of this house!"
Officer Miller: "Ma'am, step forward and place your hands behind your back."
Victoria: "Get your filthy hands off me! Do you have any idea who my lawyer is?! My family owns half the real estate in this state!"
Ethan: "Your family’s money won’t save you from a federal judge, Victoria. Not after what the forensic audit found this morning."
Victoria froze as the handcuffs clicked tightly around her wrists. Her eyes darted around the grand foyer, realization finally breaking through her arrogant facade.
Victoria: "What... what audit?"
Ethan: "My late wife’s estate trust. The five-hundred-million-dollar inheritance left exclusively to baby Leo."
Elena: "Five hundred million...?"
Ethan: "Yes, Elena. My late wife, Clara, left everything to Leo before she passed away last year. The terms were absolute: if Leo survived to his eighteen birthday, the entire estate passed to him. But if he passed away before then... the secondary beneficiary was Victoria."
Victoria: "That... that was just standard legal framing! Clara chose me as the back-up trustee!"
Ethan: "You forced Clara’s lawyer to alter the documents while she was sick in the hospital! I’ve been investigating your offshore accounts for three months, Victoria. I knew you were stealing money from the estate mortgage, but I never believed you would go this far."
Victoria: "It was mine! I deserved that money! I spent two years taking care of your sick, dying wife while you were busy running your company!"
Ethan: "You poisoned her mind, and today you tried to murder my son to claim the payout!"
Victoria: "Ethan, please! We can fix this! Think about our reputation! Think about the media coverage!"
Ethan: "The only thing the media will cover is your trial for attempted grand murder and corporate fraud."
