Arthur: This is a setup! You planned this tonight, didn't you, Clara?
Clara: I didn't plan anything, Arthur. I was carrying drinks to your wealthy guests like I do every single night. Your son is the one who couldn't take the lies anymore.
Toby: I saw the papers in Daddy's desk, Mommy! When he was sleeping last week, I saw the picture of you in the red folder!
Arthur: Toby! You went into my private study?
Toby: You told me Mommy was dead in a car crash, but I saw her picture in the red folder with the red stamp on it!
Clara: The red folder... Arthur, you kept the original marriage certificate and the forged custody surrender papers in the study safe, didn't you?
Arthur backed away slowly toward the main staircase, his eyes darting toward the exits as several high-profile guests pulled out their smartphones to record the confrontation.
Arthur: Nobody goes near my study. That is private property!
Judge Vance: Officers! I believe we have two police officers working security for the event at the front gate. Get them inside immediately!
Arthur: You're overstepping, Vance! This is my house!
Judge Vance: This house was built by your father, Arthur. And Henry Sterling explicitly stated in his last will and testament that if any heir committed fraud against their immediate family, the entire estate would revert to the living spouse and children under a court-appointed guardianship.
Clara: I stayed silent for six long years because I thought I was protecting Toby from a public scandal. I thought if I just worked hard and kept my head down, you would eventually give him the love he deserved.
Arthur: I gave him everything! The best schools, the finest clothes, a trust fund worth millions!
Clara: You gave him a gold cage and treated him like an accessory for your corporate photos! You never played ball with him! You never held his hand when he was sick!
Toby: Mommy held my hand! She stayed up with me all night when I had the fever, while you were in New York!
Two uniformed police officers pushed through the double front doors of the mansion, their heavy boots thudding against the marble floor.
Officer Davis: Is there a problem here, Judge Vance?
Judge Vance: Officer, I am placing Mr. Arthur Sterling under citizen's arrest for grand fraud, forgery, and unlawful confinement allegations until a formal warrant is issued by the district attorney.
Arthur: This is absurd! You can't arrest me in my own home!
Officer Davis: Sir, step away from the stairs and keep your hands where we can see them.
