The Secret in the Trust

The Maid Kept Her Phone Recording When the Baby Was Pushed

Richard: Elena, get inside right now and dry off. I am calling my security team and my legal council immediately.

Elena: Yes, Mr. Sterling. Is Noah okay? Please let me check his breathing.

Richard: He's shivering, but he's safe thanks to you. God, Elena, if you hadn't jumped in...

Veronica: You hit me, Richard! I'm calling my lawyer! You can't treat me like this after everything I've done for this family!

Richard: You put a baby's life in danger for your own sick twisted motives! Don't you dare speak about family!

Veronica sneered, dusting off her green dress as she stood up from the patio floor. Her panicked mask melted away, replaced by a cold, calculating glare that made Elena shiver even more than the dripping pool water.

Veronica: You think you're so smart, Richard? Check your estate documents. Check the primary beneficiary clause on your late wife's life insurance and trust fund. You don't own half of what you think you do!

Richard: What are you talking about?

Veronica: Ask your precious family attorney, Mark Vance. He helped me sign the paperwork three weeks ago!

Richard froze, his grip tightening around the towel wrapping his son. Mark Vance had been his closest friend and personal attorney for over twelve years. He had managed the entire Sterling estate, including the multi-million dollar trust left behind for Noah after Richard's first wife passed away in a tragic car accident.

Richard: Mark would never touch those documents without my written authorization.

Veronica: Oh, but he did. You signed them yourself during the charity gala last month, thinking it was just a routine tax exemption form. Once Noah was out of the picture, the entire estate default payout went directly to me as your legal fiancée!

Elena: You monster... you planned all of this just for money?

Veronica: Shut up, you worthless maid! You ruined a ten-million-dollar payout!

Richard: Get off my property before I have my guards throw you into the street in handcuffs!

Veronica: Go ahead! Call them! But by tomorrow morning, my lawyers will freeze every single one of your liquid assets!

Veronica spun on her heels, her high heels clicking loudly against the tile as she strutted toward the side gate, disappearing into the driveway. The heavy iron gate slammed shut, leaving a heavy, terrifying silence on the patio.

Elena: Mr. Sterling, what are we going to do? Is Mr. Vance really involved in this?

Richard: I don't know who to trust anymore, Elena. But if Mark betrayed me, my entire life's work and my son's future are completely at risk.

Elena: Sir, before you call anyone else, you need to hear something. I overheard Mr. Vance talking in the study yesterday evening.

Richard: What? What did he say?

Elena: He was arguing with someone on his phone about a offshore bank account in the Cayman Islands. He mentioned your name and said the final signature was already locked in a safe inside his downtown office.

Richard: That safe holds my late wife's original trust paperwork. If they altered those files, they can strip Noah of his legal guardianship rights!

Elena: Then we have to get those documents back before they realize the plan failed!

Richard: It's too dangerous, Elena. Veronica knows you caught her. She won't stop at just verbal threats.

Elena: Mr. Sterling, my mother worked for your family thirty years ago. Your late wife helped pay for my college tuition when I had nothing. I won't let these parasites take Noah's inheritance away!

Richard: Alright. But we have to act fast. Mark thinks I'm still blind to his games. I'm going to call him for an urgent emergency meeting right now, and while he's on his way here, we get into his office.

Richard pulled out his cell phone, his fingers flying across the screen as he dialed his attorney's direct line. He looked over at Elena, his eyes filled with a desperate determination. The war for his family's survival had just begun.
