Security Guard: Miss, you can't go up to the 40th floor without a badge!
Elena: Move out of my way, Arthur! You know me! I worked at the house for two years!
Elena pushed past the lobby turnstile, holding a silver USB drive tightly in her right hand while Marcus followed right behind her holding a briefcase.
Marcus: Press the elevator button! Quick!
The elevator doors closed just as security rushed forward. Seconds later, the elevator dinged on the 40th floor. Elena stepped out into the sleek, marble-floored reception area of Vance & Partners Law Offices.
Victoria: What is this filth doing here?! Security!
Inside the glass-walled main boardroom, Richard sat at the head of a long mahogany table surrounded by six high-profile estate trustees, financial advisors, and his senior legal partners. Victoria was sitting beside him, wearing a dark velvet dress and acting like a grieving, traumatized mother.
Richard: Elena?! How dare you step foot into my law firm after what you did yesterday!
Elena: Shut up and look at this screen, Richard!
Victoria: Richard, call the police right now! She's unstable! She might have a weapon!
Elena: The only weapon in this room is sitting right next to you in that velvet dress!
Richard: That's enough! Elena, if you don't leave this instant, I will ensure you spend the next ten years in state prison!
Marcus: You might want to hold off on those threats, Mr. Vance, unless you want your firm's name dragged through every newspaper in Texas!
Before anyone could stop her, Elena walked straight to the boardroom presentation console and plugged the silver USB drive directly into the master projector unit.
Victoria: Stop her! Unplug that thing right now!
Senior Partner: Wait a minute, Victoria! Let's hear what this girl has to say. Why are you so terrified of a flash drive?
Elena: Because on this drive is the raw video file from baby Lily's smart monitor from yesterday at 2:14 PM!
The giant digital display screen on the wall flickered to life. The entire boardroom fell deathly silent as the high-definition video began to play in front of every trustee and attorney in the room.
