A Father's True Face

The Millionaire Father Demanded A Miracle For His Twins

Richard: "Get away from them!"

Richard lunged forward, grabbing Julian by the shoulder of his tunic and shoving him away from the wheelchairs.

Evelyn: "Richard! Stop it! Don't you touch him!"

Julian: "I am not going anywhere, Mr. Sterling. Your anger will not change the truth."

Richard: "You ruined my life! You came into my home and stripped away everything I worked for!"

Julian: "You ruined your own life when you decided your luxury cars and country club memberships were worth more than your sons' mobility."

Richard: "I spent years building this legacy!"

Julian: "Your father built this legacy. You just spent it."

Evelyn: "Get out, Richard."

Richard: "What did you say?"

Evelyn: "I said get out of this house. Right now."

Richard: "You can't kick me out of my own home!"

Evelyn: "Julian just told you—the house belongs to the trust fund now. And as the boys' legal guardian, I am asking you to leave before I call security."

Richard: "Security works for me!"

Evelyn: "They haven't been paid in two weeks, Richard. Who do you think they are going to listen to?"

Richard stood in the center of the grand room, his face flushed red, his breath heavy. He looked at his wife, then at the two toddlers who were looking up at him not with love, but with fear.

Toddler: "Mommy... why is Daddy yelling at the boy who fixed my legs?"

Richard: "I... I was doing it for you boys... for our family name..."

Julian: "A family name means nothing if you abandon the people who carry it."

Richard: "You will regret this, Evelyn. All of you."

Richard turned on his heel, his heavy leather shoes clicking against the marble floor as he walked out the heavy front doors, slamming them shut behind him.
