The crystal chandeliers of the Dallas mansion threw bright light across the marble floor. Evelyn held her baby boy, Leo, high in the air, her face glowing with genuine warmth.

Evelyn: Look at you, sweetie! You are growing so fast!

Leo giggled loudly, his little legs kicking in excitement. Just a few feet away, Maria stood in her crisp maid uniform, her posture rigid, her fingers twitching against her apron.

Maria: Mrs. Vance, please... you shouldn't hold him like that. It isn't safe.

Evelyn: He loves it, Maria. I'm his mother. I would never let anything happen to him.

Before Evelyn could even lower the baby, Maria let out a blood-curdling scream that echoed off the high ceilings.

Maria: NO! NO! YOU RUINED EVERYTHING! GIVE HIM TO ME!

Maria dropped heavily to her knees, flailing her arms and grabbing at Evelyn's dress. She snatched the crying infant right out of Evelyn's arms, pulling him tightly against her chest on the cold floor.

Evelyn: What are you doing?! Give him to me! You'll never touch him again!

Maria: Get away from us! You monster! You dropped him!

The heavy front doors flew open. Marcus stepped into the hallway, his trench coat damp from the cool rain outside. He froze, his eyes scanning the chaotic scene.

Evelyn: Marcus! Thank God you're home! She dropped him! I tried to stop her!

Maria: She's lying! She lifted him over her head and let go! She tried to hurt your son!

Marcus: Everyone stop talking right now!

Marcus rushed forward and knelt on the marble floor. He carefully took the sobbing child from Maria's frantic grip, checking Leo's hands and head for injuries.

Evelyn: Marcus, listen to me! She's crazy! She's manipulating you! Check the camera!

Marcus didn't yell. He pulled his smartphone from his pocket, his thumb tapping the security app screen. The hallway fell dead silent as the playback video loaded.

Marcus: I watched you let go, Evelyn.

Evelyn: What? What are you saying?!

Marcus: Security! Lock every door in Dallas right now!
