Mark stared at the legal trust papers in his hand as anger slowly filled his tense voice.
Mark: All these years, my parents struggled financially while my uncle stole our entire family inheritance.
Chloe: He lied to everyone in your family just to take control of the estate funds.
Mark: He signed a massive mortgage on the main property and kept every single dollar for himself.
The sound of heavy machinery echoed faintly through the dense trees beyond the blocked paved pathway.
Chloe: Do you hear that loud engine sound coming from down the main park road?
Mark: Someone is using a chainsaw to clear away those massive fallen pine tree trunks!
They ran toward the edge of the blocked path as two emergency park workers cut through the branches.
Worker: Hey! Is anyone trapped out there behind those fallen tree limbs today?
Mark: We are over here near the old cabin! We need help getting through!
The park workers quickly cleared a narrow path through the pine needles, allowing them to step out safely.
Worker: You folks were lucky that old shelter held up during that massive storm last night.
Chloe: Thank you so much for clearing this path for us so quickly today.
Mark held the folder of estate papers tightly against his chest as they walked toward the exit.
Mark: We need to contact a divorce lawyer and an estate attorney as soon as possible.
Chloe: Your uncle won't be able to hide the truth once these documents reach a court.
They reached their car in the parking lot just as the morning sun broke through the clouds fully.
Mark opened the passenger door for Chloe before stepping around to the driver's side securely.
Mark: I'm going straight to my uncle's corporate office downtown to deliver these papers myself.
Chloe: I am coming with you to make sure he answers for what he did.
They drove into the city, stopping directly in front of a tall glass office building downtown.
Mark walked straight into the top floor boardroom where his uncle sat reviewing several business files.
Uncle: Mark? What are you doing in my private office without calling my secretary first?
Mark: I found grandfather's real estate deed hidden inside the old lake cabin shelter today.
His uncle's face turned completely pale as Mark threw the original signed trust documents onto the table.
