Police Officer: Julian Hayes? You are under arrest for identity theft, grand larceny, and bank fraud.
Julian: Wait! You can't arrest me here! This is a private wedding ceremony!
Police Officer: Turn around and place your hands behind your back, sir.
Julian turned around slowly, his face pale as the metal handcuffs clicked securely around his wrists over his fine silk cuffs.
Julian: Laura! Please talk to them! Tell them we can fix this! We can still get married!
Laura: I don't even know who you are. The man I loved died two years ago in California, and I was dating a thief.
Julian: I did it for us! We were going to buy that house on the coast! We were going to start a family!
Laura: You did it for yourself and your own greed. Take him away.
The officers escorted Julian down the aisle, past the horrified wedding guests who recorded the entire scene on their phones.
Victoria: I’m so sorry you had to find out this way, Laura. But if you had signed that marriage license, you would have been named an accomplice in his federal lawsuit.
Laura: Thank you... you saved my life today.
Laura’s father wrapped his arms around his daughter as she broke down into quiet tears of relief, surrounded by her family.
Laura's Father: It’s over, sweetheart. You’re safe now. Let’s go home.
Laura: Yeah... let’s go home.
Laura walked out of the church with her head held high, leaving behind the lies of the fake wedding and stepping into a brand new future.
