The next morning arrived with heavy rain grey against the tall glass windows.

She was holding a heavy glass vase right beside the baby's blanket.

Vanessa deliberately tipped the heavy glass vase over the edge toward the floor.

She was staging a chaotic scene to make it look like a terrible accident.

She intended to let the heavy vase crash and fake a dangerous fall.

Sarah gasped in pure horror as she saw the dark plan unfolding.

Without hesitating for a single second, Sarah lunged across the slick marble floor.

She slid on her knees across the bright stone to protect the space below.

She caught the heavy falling object safely into her arms before it smashed.

The loud slide echoing through the foyer made a sharp impact noise.

Sarah stood up quickly and rushed up the stairs to scoop baby Lily away.

She pulled the crying baby tightly against her chest to keep her safe.

Just then, the double doors of the private study slammed open wide.

Richard: VANESSA, WHAT DID YOU JUST DO?!

Vanessa immediately put her hand on her chest and made a hysterical face.

She pointed her long finger down at Sarah with frantic fake tears.

Vanessa: IT WAS AN ACCIDENT! SHE'S LYING!

Vanessa: The maid bumped into me and caused the mess!

Sarah: SHE CHECKED THE CAMERA BLIND SPOTS YESTERDAY!

Vanessa's eyes widened in sheer horror and disbelief at those exact words.

Her jaw dropped as her carefully constructed lie fell completely apart.
