Victoria: Richard... please, tell him to stop! Don't freeze the accounts! My card for the salon will bounce! My dress designer is waiting for payment!
Richard: Your dress designer can wait. Arthur, did you get all that? Good. Send two firm associates to the house with the eviction notice draft immediately.
Victoria: Eviction notice?! You’re kicking me out of my own home?!
Richard: This is my home. Purchased ten years before I met you. You have one hour to pack one suitcase of clothing that you purchased with your own personal money prior to our marriage. Everything else—the bags, the jewelry, the cars—remains here pending the court settlement.
Victoria: You can't seize my jewelry! You gave those to me as gifts!
Richard: Gifts bought with funds from my primary estate account, which is linked to my company’s holding firm. My lawyers will demonstrate that those were conditional marital assets. If you touch a single diamond, I will file grand larceny charges against you by sunset.
Maya: Dad... my car keys? She locked them in the master bedroom safe.
Richard: Victoria. Open the safe. Right now.
Victoria: No! I won't be dictated to by a child and a man who lost his mind!
Richard: Open the safe, or I will have the estate manager drill it open, and I will add destruction of private property to the civil lawsuit.
Victoria stood frozen in the middle of the grand kitchen, her chest heaving as tears of anger and panic streamed down her makeup. She looked at Richard, looking for any sign of soft hesitation, but found only steel. She turned her gaze to Maya, who was now holding her baby close, supported safely by her father’s arm.
Victoria: Fine! Take your stupid keys! Take everything! You think you’re so righteous, Richard? You’re ruining our marriage over a kitchen maid!
Richard: She is my daughter. She is my blood. And you are nothing but a mistake I am fixing today.
Victoria turned on her heel, her designer heels clicking loudly and aggressively against the marble floor as she stormed up the grand staircase toward the master bedroom. The heavy oak doors slammed shut upstairs, echoing throughout the vast, silent mansion.
