David: You used our daughter as a distraction?! You put Maya in danger to hide your theft?!

Victoria: David, no! Listen to me! That isn't what happened! She's framing me!

David: Shut up! Just shut your mouth!

Judge Vance: Order! Order in this court! Mr. Sterling, sit down immediately!

David: Your Honor, look at her face! She knows she's caught! She's been embezzling from my family estate!

Prosecutor: Your Honor, in light of this new audio material, the state requests a temporary recess to review the validity of the charges against Miss Jenkins and investigate potential felony fraud and child abuse against Mrs. Sterling.

Mark: We also request the immediate dismissal of all charges against Sarah Jenkins and her unconditional release.

Judge Vance: Charges against Sarah Jenkins are hereby dismissed with prejudice. Bailiff, release the defendant immediately. State prosecutors, I advise you to detain Victoria Sterling pending a full financial and criminal investigation.

Two officers stepped forward, moving past David to place silver handcuffs around Victoria’s wrists. She began to scream, thrashing against the officers as she was dragged toward the side door of the courtroom.

Victoria: David! You can't let them do this to me! I did it for us! I did it for our family!

David: You almost killed my daughter, Victoria. You're going to rot in prison for this.

Sarah stood by her attorney as the metal cuffs were unlocked from her wrists. She rubbed her reddened skin, taking a deep breath of clean air for the first time in twenty-four hours. David slowly walked over to her, his head hanging low with unbearable guilt and humiliation.

David: Sarah... I... I don't even know what to say. I hit you. I called you a monster. I had you arrested when you were the only one protecting my child.

Sarah: You trusted the wrong person, Mr. Sterling. You were so blinded by her lies that you couldn't see who was really looking out for Maya.

David: I can never apologize enough for putting my hands on you and putting you through this nightmare. Please, tell me what I can do to make this right.

Sarah: You can start by making sure that woman never gets near Maya ever again.
