Noah: Daddy, is the nice lady going to be okay?
Noah ran over, holding a warm blanket that a paramedic had given him. He gently draped it over Clara's trembling shoulders.
Clara: Thanks, buddy. I'm going to be just fine.
Richard: Clara, how much do you make working for this catering company?
Clara: About fifteen dollars an hour, sir. It barely pays the rent on my tiny apartment, but I work hard to stay honest.
Richard: That ends tonight. Starting tomorrow, my corporate legal team is drafting a full contract for you. I am offering you the position of Head of Estate Security and Personal Companion for Noah, with a full life insurance plan, high salary, and paid housing.
Clara: What? Sir, I... I can't accept that! That's too much!
Richard: You saved my entire family line tonight from a greedy murder scheme. A million dollars wouldn't be enough to repay what you did for my boy.
Noah: Please say yes! Please stay with us!
Clara looked down at the smiling toddler, then back up at Richard, whose eyes were filled with sincere gratitude and respect. Tears finally spilled over her cheeks, washing away the dust and blood from a night that changed her life forever.
Clara: Yes... I would be honored, Mr. Vance.
Richard: Welcome to the family, Clara. You'll never have to worry about rent or broken glass ever again.
