Victoria: That’s a fake! Julian left everything to me! The probate court verified the documents!
Carter: The probate court verified the forged copies your corrupt divorce lawyer handed them! But the original was sealed in a private bank vault in Austin, registered under Chloe’s legal name!
Chloe: I tried to tell you, Victoria... Julian never trusted you. He knew what you were planning before his accident.
Victoria: Shut up! You were just a temporary nurse! Julian would never leave a fortune to a common worker!
Carter: She wasn't just his nurse, Victoria. Chloe was Julian’s lawfully wedded wife before he died. They married secretly in Santa Fe four years ago.
Victoria’s jaw dropped. She scrambled backward on her hands and knees, her glittery dress tearing against the floor as she shook her head frantically.
Victoria: No... no! That’s impossible! I had the marriage records wiped!
Carter: You paid off a county clerk, but you forgot that federal marriage certificates are stored on secure servers. Chloe is the sole legal owner of the Vance Estate, the family business, and the Dallas property you’re sitting on right now.
Victoria: This is a setup! You two planned this to ruin me!
Chloe: You ruined yourself the day you decided money was worth more than human life. I came into this house disguised as staff to find the physical proof of your financial fraud, not to take revenge.
Carter: But now that we have the proof, you’re going to answer for every single crime you committed.
Victoria: You can't prove anything! The life insurance payout was cleared by the state board!
Carter: We didn't just investigate the will, Victoria. We investigated the brake lines on Julian’s car.
Victoria froze. All the color drained from her face, leaving her skin ghostly pale under the bright chandeliers.
Victoria: What... what are you talking about?
Carter: The mechanic you hired in Houston finally talked to the federal prosecutors this morning. He gave them the audio recordings of you paying him fifty thousand dollars in cash.
Victoria: He lied! He’s trying to save himself!
Carter: You can explain that to the FBI agents waiting outside the gate right now.
