The heavy iron doors of the main entrance opened, and three uniformed police officers walked into the grand foyer, accompanied by Marcus’s chief legal advisor.
Officer Davis: Mr. Vance? We received your emergency call regarding physical assault and financial fraud warrant execution.
Marcus: She’s right over there, Officer. Mrs. Victoria Vance.
Victoria: Get your hands off me! Do you have any idea who I am? I am the head of the Vance Charitable Foundation!
Officer Davis: Not anymore, ma'am. We have a warrant for your arrest issued by the District Attorney’s office for grand larceny, forgery, and domestic assault.
Victoria: Marcus! Tell them to stop! Evelyn, tell them! You can have the house! You can have everything!
Evelyn: I don't want your house, Victoria. I just want justice for my mother.
The officer pulled Victoria's arms behind her back, snapping a pair of cold steel handcuffs around her wrists. Her expensive coat slipped off her shoulder, falling onto the marble floor she had tried so hard to protect.
Victoria: You’ll regret this, Marcus! This family name will be dragged through the dirt!
Marcus: The family name was dragged through the dirt when you entered this house. Today, we clean it up.
Officer Davis: Watch your head, ma'am. Walk forward.
Victoria struggled against the officers as they led her out the double doors, her desperate screams echoing down the long driveway until the police cruiser doors slammed shut.
Evelyn: Is it really over?
Marcus: It’s over, Evelyn. The estate is secure, and Clara’s legacy is finally back where it belongs—with you.
Evelyn: I still can't believe she kept all those letters... all those years I thought my mother didn't love me.
Marcus: Your mother loved you more than life itself. She spent her last months trying to make sure you were taken care of. And from now on, you and your little girl will never have to worry about anything ever again.
