Justice Served Cold

The Maid Stood Her Ground in the Mansion She Secretly Owned

Victoria stood motionless, her face pale and her lip trembling. She looked at the deputies, then at Elena, realizing there was no way out.

Victoria: I'll sue you for this, Elena! I'll take you to the highest court in Texas!

Elena: Good luck finding a divorce lawyer or civil attorney who works for free. Your fifteen minutes started ten seconds ago.

With tears of rage streaming down her face, Victoria turned and hurried up the grand staircase. The deputies followed at a respectful distance to ensure she took only her approved personal belongings.

Elena walked over to the dining table and unbuttoned the maid's apron. She folded it neatly and placed it over the back of the head chair.

Ten minutes later, Victoria walked down the stairs holding two plain suitcases. Her expensive composure was completely gone. She looked at Elena with pure hatred as she walked toward the front door.

Victoria: You think you won, don't you?

Elena: I didn't win anything, Victoria. I just reclaimed what belonged to my family. Now take your bags and leave my house.

Victoria stepped through the front doors, the cold evening air rushing in as the heavy oak doors shut firmly behind her.

Elena stood in the quiet foyer of her father's house, breathing in the calm atmosphere. The long nightmare was over, justice had been served, and the true owner was finally home.
