Victoria: You have no right to keep me trapped here like a prisoner!
Arthur: I have every right when my corporate intellectual property and personal estate are being wiretapped.
Clara: Mr. Vance, when I was cleaning the study this morning, I saw an open envelope on the side desk.
Arthur: What kind of envelope?
Clara: It had the logo of Sterling & Associates. The corporate litigation firm.
Arthur: Sterling & Associates represents my rival firm in the buyout deal.
Victoria: That envelope was mine! It was private correspondence regarding my mother's estate!
Arthur: Your mother's estate is handled by a local probate lawyer in Austin. Why would Sterling & Associates be contacting you?
Victoria: Because... because I asked for a second opinion on a property settlement!
Arthur: You're lying to me, Victoria. You've been lying for months.
Arthur turned to his head of security, Mark, who had just stepped through the double oak doors into the dining room.
Mark: The perimeter is secure, Mr. Vance. No one has left the premises. Our signal jammer is now active.
Arthur: Check the device Clara found under my chair.
Mark took the tiny black bug from Arthur's hand, examining it with a specialized handheld scanner.
Mark: High-frequency encrypted audio bug. Range is about two miles, or short-burst satellite relay.
Arthur: Can you trace the receiver signature?
Mark: If the signal was cut seconds ago, the receiver device is still within a five-mile radius.
Victoria: This is insane! You are accusing your future wife based on the words of a maid!
Arthur: Clara saved my business two years ago when she noticed an altered contract on my desk. Her integrity is proven. Yours is currently in question.
Clara: Miss Victoria... why did you tell the catering team not to record the security logs for the back entrance today?
Victoria: I never said that!
Clara: I heard you speak to the chief steward at three o'clock. You told him the security cameras were undergoing maintenance.
Arthur: Is that true, Victoria?
Victoria: I thought the system was being serviced! You mentioned last week that the cameras needed updating!
Arthur: I said the gate cameras needed updating. Not the indoor dining hall feeds.
Mark: Boss, I just checked the indoor server room. The hall camera wire was physically cut at two-thirty PM.
