The Slap Across The Face

The Stepmother Who Threw My Toddler Into The Deep Pool

Amanda: You are a monster, Victoria!

Victoria: Watch your tone with me in my own home!

Amanda raised her hand and delivered a furious slap across Victoria's face. The loud crack echoed off the pool patio walls.

Victoria: Ah! You crazy woman! You just assaulted me!

Amanda: HOW DARE YOU TOUCH MY DAUGHTER! CALL 911 NOW!

Victoria: I didn't touch her! She fell! You have no proof!

Elena: I saw you push her! You threw her right into the deep end!

Victoria: Shut up, Elena! You're fired!

Amanda: She doesn't answer to you, Victoria. She saved my child's life while you watched her sink!

Amanda hugged little Lily tighter, feeling the cold pool water soaking through her own clothes. The baby was still gasping and clinging to her mother's shirt.

Amanda: Shh, baby girl, Mommy's here. You're safe now.

Victoria: This is ridiculous. I'm going inside. I won't stand here and be accused by a jealous ex-wife.

Amanda: You step one foot inside that house and I'll make sure the police drag you out in handcuffs.

Victoria: Richard will be home any minute. He will handle you.

Amanda: Good. Let Richard see what kind of psycho he married.

Elena: Mrs. Amanda, the baby is shaking badly. We need a warm towel.

Amanda: Grab the pool towel from the lounger, Elena. Wrap her up quickly.

Elena hurried to grab a large dry towel and wrapped it tightly around little Lily, comforting the crying child.

Victoria: You two are making a massive drama out of an accident. Toddlers stumble all the time.

Amanda: Toddlers don't stumble past a three-foot glass barrier into the center of a pool, Victoria.

Victoria: Mistakes happen! She's fine, isn't she?

Amanda: She is alive because Elena jumped in! You didn't even lift a finger!

Victoria: I don't swim in expensive dresses!

Amanda: You care more about your dress than a baby's life?!

Victoria: I care about my peace of mind! You brought her here unannounced!

Amanda: It was Richard's designated visitation hour! I brought her here to see her father!

Victoria: Well, Richard isn't here, is he? So you should have left!

Amanda: YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS!

Victoria: Threatening me won't change anything, Amanda. You have no case.

Amanda: I have a witness, I have my daughter's wet clothes, and I have every intention of putting you behind bars.

Victoria: Good luck with that. Richard's lawyers will tear you apart before you even reach a courtroom.

Amanda: We'll see about that when the officer arrives.

The heavy iron gates at the end of the driveway clicked open, and two police cruisers pulled up along with a black luxury SUV.
