Amanda: Officer! This woman just threw my two-year-old daughter into the swimming pool!
Victoria: That is a complete lie, Officer. The child tripped and fell near the edge.
Richard: What on earth is going on here? Amanda, why are you screaming?
Richard stepped out of his SUV, adjusting his suit jacket with a look of extreme irritation.
Amanda: Ask your new wife! She almost drowned our daughter!
Richard: Victoria? Is this true?
Victoria: Of course not, darling! You know how unstable Amanda gets. The baby slipped, and Elena got her out immediately.
Elena: Mr. Hayes, I swear on my mother's life, Mrs. Victoria picked up little Lily and threw her in!
Richard: Elena, be very careful what you say. You are an employee here.
Amanda: Don't intimidate her, Richard! She saved Lily while your wife watched!
Officer Miller: Everyone calm down. Sir, do you have security cameras around the pool area?
Richard: Yes, we have a full security system covering the whole estate.
Amanda: Check the footage! That will prove she's lying!
Victoria: Oh... well, actually, the cameras were turned off today for routine maintenance.
Amanda: Maintenance? Convenient timing, Victoria!
Victoria: It's not convenient, it's just a fact. The technician was here this morning.
Officer Miller: Ma'am, is there a record of this maintenance?
Victoria: My assistant handles all maintenance logs. I can have her email it to you tomorrow.
Amanda: She is lying, Officer! Check the DVR system inside!
Richard: Amanda, stop making a scene. Let's take Lily inside, dry her off, and talk like adults.
Amanda: Don't touch her! Neither of you are coming near my daughter ever again!
Officer Miller: Mr. Hayes, I need to inspect the security control room right now.
Richard: Of course, Officer. Right this way. Victoria, stay here with Amanda.
Victoria: Why should I stay with her after she slapped me across the face?
Officer Miller: Did you slap her, ma'am?
Amanda: Yes, I did! Right after I saw my baby gasping for air while she stood there smiling!
Victoria: See? She admits to physical assault! Arrest her, Officer!
Elena: Officer, if I may speak... the maintenance crew didn't turn off all the cameras.
Victoria: Elena! Keep your mouth shut!
Elena: The secondary backup system installed last month operates on a separate cloud circuit. It records continuously.
Victoria: What secondary system?! Nobody authorized that!
Elena: Mr. Hayes authorized it for the pool perimeter safety regulations.
Amanda: Take us to that backup drive right now, Elena.
Victoria's face turned completely pale as she took a quick step backward toward the house.
