Handcuffs At The Mansion

The Stepmother Who Threw My Toddler Into The Deep Pool

Officer Miller: Victoria Vance-Hayes, you are under arrest for attempted murder, child endangerment, and felony fraud.

Victoria: Get your hands off me! Do you know who I am?!

Officer Miller: Place your hands behind your back right now!

Victoria struggled as the metallic clink of handcuffs echoed across the courtroom lobby.

Victoria: Richard! Help me! Call our attorney!

Richard: Don't look at me, Victoria. I'm filing for divorce today.

Victoria: You coward! You knew I had debts! You told me to handle the estate finances!

Richard: I told you to handle household bills, not murder my child!

Victoria: If I go down, I'm taking you with me, Richard! You knew about the offshore transfers!

Officer Miller: Walk, ma'am. You can talk to the prosecutor at the station.

Amanda stood by the exit doors, holding Elena's hand as Victoria was escorted past them in handcuffs.

Victoria: You think you won, Amanda?! You got nothing!

Amanda: I have my daughter safe in my arms, Victoria. That's everything I ever wanted.

Victoria: You'll rot in hell!

Elena: Goodbye, Victoria. Don't worry about the mansion, I'll make sure it's packed up.

Richard slowly walked toward Amanda, his head bowed in deep shame.

Richard: Amanda... I'm so sorry. I was blind.

Amanda: Being blind almost cost our daughter her life, Richard.

Richard: I want to make things right. Whatever you need for Lily, I'll pay it.

Amanda: You will sign over full parental management of the trust fund to my legal team tomorrow morning.

Richard: I will. Whatever you ask.

Amanda: And you will pay Elena a full severance package for her bravery.

Richard: Done. Absolutely.

Amanda: Good. Now stay away from us until the judge approves supervised visitation terms.

Amanda turned around and walked out into the warm afternoon sun, leaving Richard standing alone in the courthouse corridor.
