The Legal Battle

A Father Watched His Four Year Old Son Get Hit On Camera

By the next morning, the story had completely exploded across national news outlets. Mark had released the camera footage online, and within hours, it had been viewed over ten million times. Outraged parents gathered outside the academy carrying protest signs, demanding the immediate resignation of the entire board.

In a high-rise office building in downtown Dallas, Mark sat across from his legal team, led by top trial attorney Richard Hayes.

Richard Hayes: Mark, the footage you captured is airtight. The district attorney has already upgraded the criminal charges against Mrs. Gable to aggravated child abuse.

Mark: Good. She needs to sit in a cell and think about what she did to my son.

Richard Hayes: But it doesn't stop there. We are filing a fifty-million-dollar lawsuit against the academy, the board of directors, and Principal Vance personally for gross negligence and failure to report prior incidents.

Mark: Prior incidents? You mean she did this to other kids before Toby?

Richard pulled a thick stack of legal documents from his briefcase and laid them out on the wooden table.

Richard Hayes: Exactly. Over the past three years, four different parents filed complaints with Principal Vance about mysterious bruises on their children. Vance swept every single complaint under the rug to protect the school's high tuition revenues.

Mark felt a cold chill run through his veins as he read through the formal incident reports. Other innocent toddlers had been subjected to the same fear and violence, all because an elite school wanted to protect its brand image and corporate profits.

Mark: They let her keep teaching... they let her stay around defenseless children just to save their own money.

Richard Hayes: They thought wealthy parents would be too afraid of a public scandal to fight back. They picked the wrong father when they messed with you.
