Julian: Sit down. Please.
Claire: I'll stand right here by the door. I don't want to get dust on your leather seats.
Julian: Stop talking like that! You know I don't care about the seats!
Claire: Don't raise your voice at me.
Julian: I'm sorry... I'm sorry, Claire. I'm just losing my mind. Look at your hands. They're calloused. You're pale. You look like you haven't slept in weeks.
Claire: Working double shifts does that to a person. Not all of us have private chefs and maids, Julian.
Julian: Why didn't you use the bank accounts? I left millions in our joint account. I never touched a single cent of it!
Claire: The account was frozen the morning after I left. Your mother had her corporate lawyers freeze every asset attached to my name.
Julian: That's impossible. My mother didn't have authorization over our personal funds.
Claire: She had power of attorney while you were in London for that emergency corporate merger! She showed up at our penthouse with two police officers and a legal order.
Julian: A legal order for what?
Claire: She accused me of grand theft. She said I stole a diamond necklace from the family vault. She told me I had two choices: sign the non-disclosure agreement and walk away, or spend twenty years in a federal prison.
Julian: She... she did what?
Claire: She showed me a forged security tape. It looked real, Julian. I was terrified. I was twenty-two years old, completely alone, and your mother was threatening to destroy my entire life.
Julian: Why didn't you call me? Why didn't you pick up the phone?
Claire: I called you ten times that night! Your assistant answered every single time and told me you were in high-level executive meetings and couldn't be disturbed!
Julian: Evelyn... my assistant... she told me you never called. She told me you packed your bags and left with a guy from your old college campus.
Claire: What? That is a complete lie!
Julian: I believed her! I was broken, Claire! I thought you abandoned me the second things got stressful with the company inheritance!
Claire: I would never betray you like that! I loved you!
Julian: Then why didn't you come back after I returned from London?
Claire: Because your mother paid off my apartment landlord, had my belongings thrown into the street, and told me that if I ever came near you again, she would make sure I lost custody of what was coming.
Julian: What was coming? What are you talking about?
Claire: I was pregnant, Julian.
Julian: You... what?
Claire: I was two months pregnant the night your mother threw me out into the snow.
Julian: Oh my God... no. No, no, no...
Claire: I raised our daughter alone for three years while you were living in your multi-million dollar mansion with women like Victoria!
Julian: I didn't know... I swear to God on my life, Claire, I had no idea!
Claire: Well, now you know. Now let me out of this car.
