Arthur: Elena, sit down. Please.
Elena: Is everything okay with the police, Mr. Miller?
Arthur: The video left no room for doubt. She is in jail without bond right now. But I need to ask you something... why was she so angry today?
Elena: A legal delivery came earlier this morning. A certified letter from a law firm in downtown Dallas. Mrs. Miller opened it and started screaming in the kitchen.
Arthur: A certified letter? From whom?
Elena: It had the logo of Vance & Associates on the envelope. She burned the letter in the fireplace, but I saw the front page before she threw it in.
Arthur: Vance & Associates... that's the firm handling my late wife's estate trust fund. What did it say?
Elena: It said that according to the prenuptial agreement and the trust terms, if you and Evelyn ever divorced or if anything happened to Lily, the entire $40 million estate and the mansion would automatically transfer into a blind trust for Lily's biological mother's surviving family.
Arthur: What?! That's impossible... my late wife had no surviving family.
Elena: She did, Mr. Miller. She had a younger sister who was given up for adoption thirty years ago in San Antonio.
Arthur: How could you possibly know that?
Elena: Because... my biological mother was that sister. I didn't come to work here as a maid by accident, Mr. Miller.
Arthur stared at Elena, his face turning pale as the realization hit him like a physical blow. He looked from Elena's face to the framed portrait of his late wife hanging above the fireplace. The resemblance in their eyes was undeniable.
Arthur: You... you are my late wife's niece?
Elena: Yes. I came here six months ago to make sure Lily was being treated well. I knew Evelyn was cruel, but I never imagined she would go this far.
