The Missing Diamond Watch

The CEO Fired The Housekeeper Until Her Little Girl Spoke Up

Harrison: Mr. Vance, please listen to reason before you make a massive scene!

David: You stole from the staff and lied using my company name!

Harrison: I was covering up accounting shortfalls created by your late wife's estate settlement!

David stopped in his tracks, his jaw tightening instantly.

David: Do not bring my late wife into your dirty theft.

Harrison: The legal estate fees for the family trust were over budget! I had to balance the books for the audit next week!

Elena: That isn't all, Mr. Vance...

Elena walked slowly back toward the center of the foyer, holding Clara's hand tightly.

David: What else did he do, Elena?

Elena: Last month, when your gold vintage Rolex went missing from the master bedroom study...

David: I remembered misplacing it during the corporate trip to Chicago.

Elena: Mr. Harrison told me that if I asked for my missing paychecks again, he would tell you he found the watch inside my cleaning cart.

Clara: He hid the shiny watch in his coat pocket! I saw him!

David: You framed my housekeeper to cover your financial fraud?

Harrison: She has no proof! It is the word of an executive against a domestic worker!

David: She doesn't need proof, Harrison. I have high-definition security cameras installed in every corridor of this mansion.

Harrison's face turned completely white as all the color drained from his skin.

Harrison: You... you said those hallway cameras were disabled during the interior remodel last year.

David: I lied to protect my family's estate privacy. Every single movement in this hallway is recorded to a cloud server.

Clara: Does that mean Mommy gets her money now?

David: She gets every single penny she earned, plus interest, Clara. I promise you that.

Elena: Thank you, Mr. Vance. I was so scared I would be arrested for something I didn't do.

David: You should never have been made to feel that way under my roof.

Harrison: David, please, we have known each other for eight years! Don't ruin my career over a domestic salary dispute!

David: You didn't just cause a salary dispute. You committed felony grand larceny and extortion against a helpless worker.

David pulled his smartphone from his inner jacket pocket and dialed a direct line.

David: Security team, bring the estate guards to the main entrance immediately. We have a corporate theft suspect on site.
